Communities
Students in 3-6 begun a unit on Communities by brainstorming the meaning of communities. Students developed some great ideas about what community means such as working together, like minded people and connectedness.
Students then discussed the different places in the world and discussed the different types of communities that are in different areas.
Students were given a picture of a city, a farm and a beach and were asked to compare the different communities, the people that lived there, what they do for work, how they got food, what they ate and what they did for leisure.
